David, a Boston native, was living in Virginia at the time he decided to become a massage therapist. He had been struggling due to the infamous “dot-com crash” in the early part of the decade where he was an NT Engineer. In the meantime, he worked for a friend of his as a quality control inspector for construction companies while seeking new technology opportunities. One day though, his friend asked him to work on his sore shoulder in which David happily obliged. His friend said “Dave, you should go into this professionally” which sparked something in David. The rest, as they say, is history. A month later, David attended the Applied Kinesthetic Studies School in Herndon, Virginia. A year later he graduated and moved back up home to be back with his family and friends. After long perseverance, David managed to receive the position of Lead Therapist from an award-winning spa in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he has been the last four years. David’s passion for assisting his clients in pain and stress relief has only gotten stronger and is always seeking ways to help them both in body and mind. He has received personal notoriety for his attentiveness to his clients, his calming presence and his sense of humor. He has achieved certifications in Neuromuscular Therapy, Reiki Therapy, Hot Stone Therapy, and Sports Massage. He is Nationally Certified and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. David spends his spare time training as both a professional writer and counselor. He also enjoys cheering and crying over the Boston Red Sox. |
