Game On

For close to 10 years, Rick Garbowski, owner of Georgia Massage School located just outside Atlanta in Suawanee, GA, has been working with Drew Freedman, Owner of The Boston Bodyworker in Boston, MA. The two of them are a well known dynamic duo in massage continuing education. Their combined 40 years of clinical and educational experience makes them one of the more sought after classes at national events. However, with the Super Bowl LI matchup between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons looming large, friendships are put on hold and sides are taken.

With bragging rights on the line, they have teamed up with their kids to demonstrate the distinction between arrogance vs. confidence. The wager has the losers of the Super Bowl purchasing the winner a Championship hat. However, that is only the beginning. The loser must first wear the winners apparel publicly. Garbowski will need to teach at Georgia Massage School while wearing the lid and his son Jesse, who works for the Atlanta History Center will need to wear the hat while working at the museum. If the Patriots fall prey to the Falcons, Freedman will have to wear his at The Boston Bodyworker and his 9 year old daughter, who is a well known sports junky, will have to wear the winners hat to school. To make the wager a bit heavier, Rick and Drew will be presenting at a conference in Massachusetts this March where the loser will once again need to dawn the cap of the victor in front of a national audience.

Head Games

To paraphrase the great Yogi Berra; Running is 90% physical and the other half is mental. There are three areas of conversation that we are told too avoid at all cost while in the treatment room; sex, politics and religion.
